Terms and conditions

By proceeding with my reservation, I agree to the following terms and conditions and confirm that all information I provide to The Tortoise Shell is true and accurate.

  1. Ownership and Authority:
    • I confirm that I am the owner of the pet or have been authorized by the owner to act as the pet’s guardian.
  2. Health Disclosure:
    • I agree to disclose any known communicable diseases my pet may have to The Tortoise Shell before or during their stay.
  3. Liability Waiver:
    • I release The Tortoise Shell, its employees, and owners from any liability for injury, illness, damage, accident, or death involving my pet while in their care, except in cases of proven gross negligence.
  4. Check-Out Policy:
    • I agree to notify The Tortoise Shell in advance if I am unable to collect my pet at the scheduled check-out time.
  5. Emergency Medical Care:
    • If my pet requires urgent medical attention and I cannot be reached, I authorize The Tortoise Shell to seek care from the on-call veterinarians at The Animal Hospital (formerly Tyger Animal Hospital). I agree to reimburse The Tortoise Shell for any veterinary expenses incurred within 10 days.
  6. Cancellation Policy:
    • In the event of a reservation cancellation, I understand that refunds may be subject to a handling fee of up to 50%, depending on the notice period provided.
  7. Refunds for Early Check-Outs:
    • I acknowledge that no refunds will be provided for unused nights in the case of early check-out.
  8. Behavioral Disturbance:
    • If my pet’s behavior is disruptive to neighboring homes, The Tortoise Shell reserves the right to relocate my pet to an alternative accommodation. No refunds will be issued for such changes.

By proceeding with the reservation, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
